Overview

This course teaches students how to think and work like a developer: solving problems, researching solutions, and creating workflows. Learning Javascript will also allow you to learn how to architect your code using flowcharts and common patterns.

Common examples of Javascript that you might use every day include the search box on Amazon, a news recap video embedded in The New York Times, or refreshing your Twitter feed.

Javascript career options include front end web development (building the user-facing, visual parts of a website), web application development (creating web-based software applications including interactive online forms and shopping carts, video and photo editors, etc), and website administration (maintaining, backing up, and update existing websites for an organization).
